3-year-old girl dies in motorcycle collision in Santa Maria, Bulacan
Mon Lazaro March 11, 2024 at 03:44 PMCAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — A three-year old girl died and her parents injured in a motorcycle head-on collision in Santa Maria, Bulacan early Sunday (March 10) morning.
Informing message sent to Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., Central Luzon Regional police director, identified the fatality as Margaux Alyson Verana, while her parents who sustained injuries during the collision were Ronrick Verana and his live-in partner Lalaine Llabore.
Initial investigation showed that a green Euro Viperman 150 motorcycle, without license plate driven by Ephraim Mungcal accidentally collided head on with the motorcycle of the victims, a gray Honda Click 125 motorcycle with license plate 328CPW, around 12:17 am
at the Crossing near Waltermart in Barangay Santa Clara, Santa Maria town.
The girl and her parents were rushed to the Rogaciano M. Mercado Memorial Hospital in the said town but the girl later died.
Mungcal was placed under the custody of the local police facing charges for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, physical injuries and damage to properties.
