Bulacan Implements Makabata Helpline 1383

The Makabata Helpline 1383 aims to provide immediate assistance to children and their families through a dedicated hotline for reporting incidents of abuse and violence.
The helpline will also serve as an informational platform, offering guidance on various child welfare issues and connecting families with relevant services available in the province.
The implementation of the children’s helpline was made possible after Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando and Undersecretary Angelo Tapales, Executive Director of the Council for the Welfare of Children, recently signed a memorandum of understanding at The Pavilion of the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in Malolos.
Fernando expressed his commitment to protecting children’s rights and emphasized the importance of the helpline in addressing issues related to child abuse, exploitation, and neglect.
The establishment of the Makabata Helpline 1383 is in line with Republic Act No. 10661, which declares November as National Children’s Month each year.
