ALBUERA, Leyte — Albuera Mayor Rolan “Kerwin” Espinosa has surrendered to authorities after a court issued a warrant for his arrest in connection with a murder case.
The warrant was issued on Wednesday, February 4, by Judge Merlo Pasco Bagano of the Regional Trial Court Branch 14.
The court denied bail for Espinosa and his co-accused Ronald Danieles Bulak, Eddie Mar Demingoy Mitra, and Marcelo Adorco.
Before authorities could arrest him, Espinosa voluntarily surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Wednesday, February 5, 2026.
A close aide said the mayor was not fully aware of the specific charges that led to the issuance of the warrant.
