SM to open its third mall in Caloocan on May 17

CALOOCAN - The new SM City Caloocan is scheduled to open on May 17, as announced by SM Prime Holdings. It will be the company's third mall in Caloocan City. The newest SM branch is located on Deparo Road, Barangay 171, Bagumbong, just opposite the Caloocan Sports Complex. Boasting over 94,000 square meters of expansive space spread across three levels, it offers a vibrant mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment options, as announced by SM Prime. The local government of Caloocan warmly welcomed the news of the mall's opening. Modern National Food Hub worth P8.5 billion to rise in Clark airport complex

The Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) is investing PHP8.5 billion to construct the modern and state-of-the-art Clark National Food Hub, envisioned to become the Philippines' premium wholesale market and distribution source of high-value and top-quality food products. The CIAC announced that its President and CEO, Arrey Perez, joined the Philippine delegation to Amsterdam, Netherlands, for a market sensing and observation mission. He discussed with officials from the Netherlands’ Ministry of Agriculture, Nature, and Food Quality the most efficient technology for managing the food hub. It noted that the Philippine delegation learned from Dutch officials the need for timely delivery of the right product under the right conditions to consumers, necessitating modern, technology-assisted, and cost-efficient logistics management, quality control, and transaction facilitation. Perez relayed that Dutch Director-General for Foreign Economic Relations Michiel Sweers had said that "The Philippine delegation is in the right place as the Netherlands' robust agricultural sector and innovative agrologistics capabilities is a center of excellence in trade facilitation and technological innovation in the world." The Netherlands is the second-largest exporter of agricultural and agriculture-related products and a premier logistics center in Europe, Perez shared. New Bocaue Fire Station inaugurated

It's a momentous occasion for the residents of Bocaue as the town celebrated the blessing and inauguration of its brand-new fire station on May 15. Conveniently located near Mayor Joni Villanueva Avenue and the municipal hall, the newly constructed Bocaue Fire Station promises enhanced safety and emergency response for the community. In his statement, Bocaue Mayor Jonjon Villanueva declared that his dedication to the project has paid off, with the Municipal Government of Bocaue generously donating the land for the fire station. Villanueva added that this collaborative effort, supported by Vice Mayor Atty. Sherwin Tugna, Team Solid councilors, CIBAC party-list, and Majority Leader Sen. Joel Villanueva, showcases the power of unity in achieving community goals. Funding for the project was provided by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), ensuring the station's modern facilities and equipment. Mayor Villanueva underscored the importance of collective action and shared how the local government, together with Vice Mayor Tugna and Municipal Administrator Alex Yap, facilitated the land donation process. He emphasized that the new fire station stands as a testament to the town's resilience and commitment to safety. PDEA seizes P3.1M worth of imported kush in controlled delivery ops in Antipolo

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga -- A consignee of an imported kush that arrived at the Port of Clark in Pampanga on May 9 this year was arrested in Antipolo, Rizal during a controlled delivery operation late Monday afternoon (May 13). The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Central Luzon Office reported that the imported kush, a high-grade type of marijuana,  was sent from the United States of America. It weighs  approximately 1,900 grams, is worth P3,135,000, and was consigned to Zintaro Uy, a resident of Sitio Pantayanin, Dela Paz, Antipolo City. Upon arrival at the Port of Clark, concerned PDEA units, Bureau of Customs-Port of Clark and the local police of Antipolo conducted a controlled delivery operation in Sitio Pantayanin, Pinagsamahan Street, Barangay Dela Paz, Antipolo, Rizal. "The illegal drugs were contained in four plastic pouches and were declared as hooded sweat shirts. The suspect was aware about the content of the parcels and did not resist arrest when collared by the operating teams", a PDEA official noted.
