Junior accounting students of Bulacan city conducts 1st Triangular Event

SAN RAFAEL, Bulacan — The accounting students from the City of Baliwag, Bulacan conducted yesterday (Tuesday) the 1st Triangular Event for Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants at the San Rafael New Gymnasium in this town.

The competition was participated in by accounting students from Dalubhasaang Politekniko ng Lungsod ng Baliwag, Baliuag University and National University-Baliwag.

The event was divided into academic and non-academic competitions.

The academic event involves the battle of wits were competitors are subjected to decipher the mystery of accountancy excellence.

The non-academic event pit the competitors in mastering the unseen through the Sherlock Holme’s non-academic adventures.

The objective of the event was to build camaraderie and establish one unified Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) among the two universities and one college of the City of Baliwag.

It is also seen to promote academic excellence to all members by expanding their knowledge and understanding of the accountancy profession through academic competitions.

The event allows the contestants to learn new techniques in answering questions in the shortest possible time as well as handling time pressure which will serve as a preparation for the actual CPA board examination.

The competition also seek to promote leadership, stability, and meaningful social development through diverse activities and programs.

Through the competition, “participants were given ample opportunity to develop friendships and have proper socialization through healthy competition.”
