Bulacan farmer yields grenade, bullets, fired cartridge casings of different calibers
Mon Lazaro January 15, 2024 at 07:09 PMCAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — A 62-year-old farmer from San Ildefonso town was arrested on Friday (January 12) during an implementation of a search warrant for violations of RA10591 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Firearms Ammunition Regulation Act.
Reports reaching Col. Rely Arnedo, Bulacan police director, said the search warrant was conducted in Sulucan Street, Barangay Upig, San Ildefonso around 5:30 pm and was made in an orderly manner witnessed by two barangay officials of the said barangay with police operatives using alternative body-worn camera.
The search team recovered a hand grenade, an ammunition for 20mm, six magazines for caliber 5.56, nine ammunition for caliber .45, three ammunition for caliber 30, a 9mm ammunition, four assorted pistol holster, various fired cartridge casings for caliber 9mm, caliber 45, caliber 40, caliber 30, caliber 5.56, caliber 38, caliber .357 and a bandolier for caliber 5.56.
