TV host Bianca Gonzalez did not hold back as she publicly criticized Quezon City 4th District Representative Bong Suntay over his controversial remarks about actress-host Anne Curtis.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Pinoy Big Brother host called out the lawmaker’s statement, which was made during the House justice committee deliberations on the impeachment complaints against Vice President Sara Duterte.
“Please let us not normalize this behavior. Disgusting, especially for a public servant,” Gonzalez wrote.
The issue stemmed from Suntay’s remarks referencing Anne Curtis, “Alam niyo minsan, nasa Shangri-La ako, nakita ko si Anne Curtis, ang ganda-ganda pala niya. You know, may desire sa loob ko na, nag-init talaga, na-imagine ko na lang kung ano’ng pwedeng mangyari pero syempre hanggang imagination na lang ‘yon.”
In a subsequent interview, Suntay reportedly said his comment should be taken as a compliment.
Gonzalez responded strongly to this, expressing disappointment over what she described as a lack of accountability.
“The fact that there is no remorse, no clue as to why what he said was offensive and inappropriate, and even commented in an interview that ‘she should take my remark as a compliment’ is what makes this disgusting comment even more disgusting,” she added.
The exchange quickly gained traction online, with netizens weighing in on the issue and reiterating calls for professionalism and respect from public officials.
