The remaining members of the K-pop group BTS including RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have started the process of joining the mandatory military service, as confirmed by the BTS’ label “Big Hit Music”.
The label mentioned that the artists were getting ready to fulfill their military duties and promised to keep everyone updated.
They also asked for continued love and support for the members until they finish their military service and come back safely. Big Hit Music assured that they would give their full support to all of their artists.
The recent initiation of the mandatory military enlistment process by RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook marks the final phase for the remaining four members of the original 7-member BTS group. Prior to this announcement, the other three members, Jin, J-Hope, and Suga, had already commenced their military service. Jin and J-Hope are currently fulfilling their duties under active-duty status, while Suga is carrying out his social service work.
The group has been given the choice to postpone their compulsory two-year military service until they reach the age of 30. So, with the early commencement of the enlistment process, it appears that they are bound to comeback in 2025.
The sequential enlistment of the BTS members reflects a coordinated effort to meet their obligations within the framework of South Korea’s compulsory military service system. This system requires able-bodied male citizens to serve in the military for a specified period as a contribution to national defense.
