Ginawaran si Congressman Bro. Eddie Villanueva ng World Integrity Award at pagkilala bilang Person of Sincere Anti-Corruption Integrity ng grupong Anti-Corruption Civil Movement General Foundation (ACCMGF) na nakabase sa South Korea.

Si Bro. Eddie ang kasalukuyang Citizens’ Battle Against Corruption (CIBAC) party-list Representative at Jesus Is Lord (JIL) leader.

Ang ACCMGF ay koalisyon ng mahigit 300 asosasyon sa iba-ibang larangan tulad ng pulitika, public affairs, edukasyon, relihiyon, media, national defense, social welfare, economics, public organizations at mga NGO.

Ito ay authorized partner ng Korean national anti-corruption agency na Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC).

Ang mga parangal ay personal na iniabot ng mga opisyal ng grupo kay Bro. Eddie Villanueva sa isang simpleng seremonya na ginanap sa JIL Prayer Garden sa Bocaue, Bulacan kamakailan.

Itinuturing naman ni Bro. Eddie na isang malaking karangalan na mabigyan ng pansin at pagkilala ng international group ang paglaban niya sa corruption.

“I am really so surprised… I think just few days ago I was informed that a great national organization in Korea known as Anti-Corruption Civil Movement General Foundation… I was really surprised to be chosen as one of the recipients… I would say your great noble mission all over the world in inspiring the concerned people… personalities… all over the world in fighting the evils of corruption,” aniya.

Ang ACCMGF, na kasapi ng Union of International Associations (UIA), ay nagpapalaganap at nagbibigay ng kaukulang pagkilala at pagpapahalaga sa integridad at pagiging transparent sa iba-ibang sektor, mga gobyerno at sa lahat ng bansa sa buong mundo.

Kabilang sa pinagbasehan ng grupo sa paggawad ng parangal kay Bro. Eddie ay ang pamumuno niya sa CIBAC party-list sa pagsusulong ng mga hakbangin laban sa korapsyon tulad ng mga batas na Republic Act (RA) 9160 o Anti-Money Laundering Act, RA 9485 (Anti-Red Tape Act), RA 9184 o Government Procurement Act, RA 10149 (GOCC Governance Act), RA 11059 (Strengthening of Ombudsman Act), RA 11032 (Ease of Doing Business Act), RA 11476 (GMRC law), Freedom of Information (FOI) bill, National Independent Commission against Corruption (NICAC) bill, Whistleblower’s Protection bill, at marami pang iba.
