Coach na idinidiin sa viral na taekwondo sparring video itinanggi ang mga bintang sa kaniya

Naghayag ng saloobin ang coach na idinidiin sa viral na video ng taekwondo sparring na naganap noong February 27 sa kanilang training sa Bocaue, Bulacan, at itinanggi niya ang bintang na dahil sa selos ay ipinabugbog niya ang babaeng yellow belter sa lalaking black belter.

Sa eksklusibong panayam ng ARKIPELAGO NEWS, detalyadong sinagot ni coach Jerry Salvador ang aniya’y mga maling akusasyon laban sa kanya.

Unang-una, iginiit niya na walang katotohanan ang sinasabi ng dalagita na ipinabugbog siya ni coach Jerry.

Dahil pareho silang menor de edad ay hindi babanggitin ang kanilang mga pangalan.

Sa nag-viral na video ng sparring, makikitang ilang ulit tinamaan ng sipa at natumba ang babae.

May mga lumabas na komento sa social media na sinadya umano ng coach na gawing hindi patas ang laban — isang babaeng katamtaman ang pangangatawan at yellow belter o baguhan na itinapat sa lalaking mas mabigat ang timbang, at black belter o ibig sabihin ay eksperto na sa taekwondo.

Ang umugong na dahilan: Nagselos daw kasi si coach Jerry dahil nagpunta ang boyfriend sa gym noong birthday ng dalagita at niregaluhan siya ng bulaklak.

Idinagdag pa ng ina ng yellow belter na may gusto sa kaniyang anak si coach Jerry at iniimbitang kumain sa labas, magkape, at magsimba.

Lahat ng yan isa-isang sinagot ni coach Jerry Salvador.

Paglilinaw ng coach, hindi totoong ipinabugbog niya ang yellow belter, “Hindi po. Wala akong intensyong ipabugbog yung bata. Expected na ho na pagdating sa taekwondo, matatamaan ka talaga, masasaktan ka talaga, mai-injury, o matutumba. Pero lahat po yun ay napaka-normal at expected na yun. Kasi nga ay nasa physical sports po tayo.”

Sinabi rin niya na aksidente ang nangyari, “Yung black belter ko po, actually ang ginagawa lang niya dun sa female na yellow belter ay 50 percent lang yung speed and power. Pagsipa nung black belter, body kick talaga e, makikita nyo naman po. Sumunod, nung nag-follow up kick yung black belt, dun na-out of balance yung yellow belt. Unexpected po yung nangyari eh. Ang hirap kontrolin ng sipa lalo kung nasa momentum na yung sipa… na-release na eh.”

Dagdag pa niya, “Marami po dun sipa, hindi itinutuloy ni black belt. Marami dun sipa na sobrang kontrolado. Kung totoong binugbog yun, ratrat pong sipa eh, continuous kick po, hindi paisa-isa. Hindi paisa-isa ang sipa ng mga black belts e. Usually may mga combination kicks at continuous ang mga sipa ng mga black belt.

“More on learnings ang nangyari sa video. Lahat yun, concerned yung black belt dun sa yellow belt kasi magka-team mate sila at magka-batch mate.”

Sa usapin na pinagtapat niya ang babae sa lalaki at ang yellow belt sa black belt, katwiran niya, “Para po yun mahasa ang mga bata sa depensa… sa bigat ng sipa… para pagdating sa tournament, ay mas nasanay na sila sa speed, sa talino, sa bigat ng sipa ng mga higher belt o higher weight na naka-sparring nila sa mismong practice session.”

Talagang pinaghaharap aniya sa sparring ang hindi magkaparehong kategorya upang tumibay at gumaling ang mas mababang belt.

Ipinaliwanag din niya na iba naman ang rules ng taekwondo tournament dahil dito ay hindi pwedeng maglaban ang babae at lalaki, at dapat ay nasa iisang weight category ang magkatunggali.

Itinanggi rin ni coach Jerry ang akusasyon na pinarusahan daw niya ang babae dahil sa selos nang magdala ng bulaklak sa gym ang boyfriend ng dalaga sa kanyang birthday noong February 26.

Aniya, nalaman niya na may nag-cutting o hindi pumasok ng klase kaya pinarusahan niya ang lahat ng players at hindi lang ang dalagita. May patakaran aniya sila na ang mali ng isa ay mali ng lahat, para maging responsable sila sa isa’t isa. Ang parusa ay knuckle push up position. Sa katunayan aniya ay itinigil niya ang parusa sa dalagita at isa pang player dahil birthday nila.

Nilinaw rin ni coach Jerry na hindi totoong may gusto siya sa dalagita. Wala rin siyang nakikitang masama kung kumain siya kasama ang kanyang team dahil isang pamilya na ang turing nila sa isa’t isa.

Tungkol naman sa alegasyon na niyaya niyang magsimba ang nagrereklamo, ipinaliwanag ni coach na sinabi sa kaniya ng dalagita na mayroon siyang problema sa kanyang pamilya kaya pinayuhan niyang, “Magsimba ka dahil si Lord lang ang nakakaalam what to do.”

Inamin din ni coach Jerry na masyado na siyang nasasaktan sa mga batikos na makikita sa social media. Pero handa umano siyang harapin ang kontrobersya at alam niyang lalabas din ang buong katotohanan.
