MANILA, Philippines – Former President Rodrigo Duterte once again took a jab at President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. over the latter’s alleged use of illegal drugs.
“Mayroon isang president na talagang bangag. ‘Di naman buwang pero yung bisyo ng droga, long term yan,” Duterte said during the proclamation rally of Partido ng Demokratikong Pilipino (PDP) senatorial bets at Club Filipino in San Juan.
“Maging ulol si Marcos, maybe (with) constant use of heroin, aabot siya siguro ng 80. Pero pagdating ng panahon na yan, ‘di na siya gumagalaw. Nakatindig (na lang) sa kwarto o natutulog,” Duterte added.
The former president also criticized Marcos’ supposed inability to address pressing issues such as the rising price of rice, joblessness, and the surge in crime, adding that the Filipino people are “getting fed up.”
“Alam mo, napipika ang (mga) Pilipino. As of now, not hatred naman pero I could sense (na) napipika na ang tao kaya yung sentiment ng tao, papasok ‘yan sa utak nila habang nagugutom – patay. Tapos tayong lahat,” Duterte said.

He alleged that the Filipino people are annoyed due to failed promises, adding that he does not want to escalate it to the level of anger but believes the Marcos administration has fallen short of expectations.
“Kagaya nitong bigas, tumatama yan sa puso ng Pilipino. Mukhang ‘di niya kaya habulin ang presyo – yan na lang sa pagkain,” Duterte added.
“It is not that easy. I have been there, but the guy is simply taking his time to come up with a solution to the problem,” Duterte said.
