Senate President Francis ‘Chiz’ Escudero stressed in an ambush interview that the Senate’s order will take a backseat to the execution of arrest warrants issued by the courts against televangelist Apollo Quiboloy.
Under the direction of former Senate President Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri, the Senate issued an arrest order against Quiboloy for failing to appear before the Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality’s inquiry into his alleged involvement in human trafficking and sexual abuse of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) members.
According to Escudero, the Senate may request Quiboloy to appear before the investigative committee if he is apprehended by the authorities.
