Over 100K jobs for Pinoys expected from PBBM state visit to Malaysia

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos has expressed confidence that over 100,000 new job opportunities would be available to Filipinos as a result of his recent three-day state visit to Malaysia.

According to a news release from the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), he said that these jobs would be generated from the $285 million in total investment pledges reaped during his state visit, which included a meeting with Malaysian business leaders.

The President revealed that the Malaysian business leaders expressed their intention to invest in various industries within the Philippines, including food processing, multi-service digital platforms, aviation and aviation maintenance support services, logistics, manufacturing, infrastructure, and water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Mr. Marcos added that the job opportunities would be generated from both the construction phase and operational phase of various projects resulting from the investments.
