3 AFP personnel arrested in Tarlac drug sting

A drug sting in Tarlac led to the arrest of three Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) enlisted personnel on Sunday night (February 4) and confiscations of P340,000 worth of suspected shabu.A report from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Central L Iuzon office identified the suspects as Cpl. Venancio Delmoral, Cpl. Juan Carlo Feliciano ad Sgt. Modesto Rosquero but did not specify what unit of the AFP they belong.
The anti-drug operation was conducted by joint operatives of PDEA Tarlac and the local police and the arresting team leader said that the three soldiers are considered high-value- targets because they are in active status .
The report said the buy-bust operation was conducted in Barangay Anupul, Bamban town and confiscated from the three arrested suspects were a plastic sachet containing approximately 50 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P340,000; an AFP issued Rock Island .45 caliber pistol loaded with magazine with four live ammunition; a blue sedan Suzuki Dzire and the marked money.
The three are facing a non-bailable offense of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) in relation to Section 26 B (conspiracy to sell) under Republic Act 9165, the report added.
