CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – The Central Luzon Police confiscated 46 firearms and arrested 36 individuals in its campaign against loose firearms from January 10 to February 8 this year.
Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, Central Luzon police director, stated that the firearms were seized through the execution of 39 search warrants, which also led to the arrests of individuals involved in the illegal possession of firearms.
“We are taking decisive action to keep communities safe as we head toward the May 2025 elections. By strictly enforcing firearms regulations, we are ensuring that lawless elements have no place to operate. This is a shared responsibility—our commitment is firm, but public cooperation is key to securing a peaceful election,” Fajardo said.
