Grupo ni Quiboloy pinaiimbestigahan ni Sen. Hontiveros dahil sa rape at human trafficking

Mike Manalaysay December 12, 2023 at 06:35 PM

Sa isang privilege speech, inihain ni Hontiveros ang Senate Resolution No. 884 para imbestigahan ang aniya’y “reported cases of large-scale human trafficking, rape, sexual abuse and violence, and child abuse of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) under its leader Apollo Quiboloy.”

Ayon sa senador, “Front and center of these narratives are the systemic sexual abuse of women and children in the hands of this man that they call Pastor.”

“And no, these are not crimes of the past for which we are holding Apollo Quiboloy to account. This is an ongoing offense. Patuloy na nangyayari. The abuse of women and children is taking place as we speak, under the auspices of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ,” paliwanag pa niya.

I am in possession of testimonies to that effect.”

“He was just a child, Mr. President. They were all just children,” sabi ni Hontiveros.

“My office is in possession of an affidavit detailing the sexual abuse inflicted by Quiboloy himself on a minor,” ayon pa sa kanyang privilege speech.

“My office is in direct contact with a woman who, while not a minor when the sexual abuse happened, lives with the trauma it has brought and continues to fear for her safety,” dagdag pa niya.

“These patterns and practices are persisting as we speak, and sustaining his other criminal activities. The international breadth of Apollo Quiboloy’s criminal activities is truly astounding,” paglalahad ni Hontiveros.

Tinalakay rin ni Senador Hontiveros sa resolusyon ang naisampang kaso ng “conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion” ng Federal Grand Jury ng California noong 2021 laban kay Quiboloy at ilan pang opisyal ng KOJC.
