MANILA — The saliva test of former Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo for tuberculosis came back negative.
This means Guo does not need to isolate and can remain in the detention cell with 43 other inmates at the Pasig City Jail’s female dormitory.
Guo was initially suspected of having a lung infection based on her September 23 medical examination, according to Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo.
The possible lung infection, Fajardo explained, was discovered during medical and physical exams conducted by the PNP General Hospital and its forensic group before Guo’s transfer from the PNP Custodial Facility to the Pasig City Jail on Monday.
