CAINTA, RIZAL— Angkasangga Party-list first nominee George Royeca led by example in demonstrating accountability and leadership as he voluntarily surrendered his driver’s license following the 90-day suspension imposed by the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
The suspension was related to an incident in Cainta involving several Angkas riders. Instead of appealing, Royeca chose to accept the penalty as a show of concern for his fellow riders and the public he serves.
“As a leader aspiring for public office, I am held to a higher standard. I take full responsibility for our actions because I owe it to our riders, passengers, and the public who have supported us from day one. I would rather face suspension myself than see our riders lose their ability to provide for their families,” Royeca stated.
Along with this, Royeca and the Angkasangga Partylist reaffirmed their commitment to due process and expressed their full cooperation with any ruling issued by the agency.
Many netizens expressed their support for Royeca, praising his decision to take responsibility instead of passing it on to his team.

“Di ba dapat nga gayahin siya dahil he takes full responsibility of his man’s action. Di man siya directly gumawa ng violations. Kung ibang boss iyan, ipapamahak pa mga tao nila,” commented a netizen.
“Salute Sir George Roeyca. Isa kang patunay na may dignidad sa mga tao mo. Na aakuin ang lahat para sa ikabubuti ng lahat. Masakit na katotohanan na kailangan ma-revoke ang lisensya mo,” added another supporter.
