PARAÑAQUE CITY — Travel between key routes in southern Metro Manila is expected to become faster and more convenient following the opening of the CAVITEX C5 Link Segment 3B, a new expressway project aimed at easing traffic congestion.
From a previous travel time of about one and a half hours, motorists can now reach destinations between CAVITEX and SLEX/C5 in just 15 minutes.
The development is seen to benefit up to 36,000 vehicles and reduce congestion along Kaingin Road, while improving access between southern Metro Manila and Cavite.
The two-kilometer, three-lane expressway located in Parañaque was constructed under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., particularly to address the expected surge in traffic during the Holy Week.
The president also announced that toll fees along the new segment will be waived for the entire month of April, providing additional relief to motorists.
