Gasoline prices up; kerosene, diesel down
Paulo Gaborni October 16, 2023 at 08:18 PMMANILA– Local oil companies announced a range of changes to the pump prices of petroleum products starting on Tuesday, October 17.
The companies said in separate advisories that they will lower the cost of fuel and kerosene by 95 centavos per liter while raising the cost of gasoline by 55 centavos per liter.
The pricing changes will be put into effect by Caltex at 12:01 a.m., Shell, Petrogazz, and Seaoil at 6 a.m., and CleanFuel at 4:11 p.m.
In the wake of the Gaza-Israel conflict, the Department of Energy (DOE) had advised drivers to “manage [their] expectations” because “we have no control on the supply and prices of oil in the international market.”
Last week, the cost of gasoline was reduced by P3.05 per liter, diesel by P2.45 per liter, and kerosene by P3 per liter by oil companies.
