Mon Lazaro October 12, 2023 at 11:27 AMPLARIDEL, Bulacan — Sen. Bong Go appeals to the government to intervene on possible fuel price increase due to the conflicts in Israel, Ukraine and Russia.
He said the potential increase in fuel prices could trigger a domino effect, impacting the economy.
He also urges the Departments of Social Welfare and Development, Labor and Employment, and Trade and Industry to use their unutilized funds to help the country’s poor sector cope with the effects of the possible fuel price increases in the near future.
He also appealed to the Departments of Migrant Workers and Philippine Overseas Employment Agency to evacuate immediately Filipino overseas workers in Israel to safer places.
The senator made the appeal after the groundbreaking ceremony of the super health center in Barangay Santo Niño, Plaridel town, yesterday afternoon (October 11). The project, which is worth P10 million for the infrastructure and P2 million for equipment, was funded by the Department of Health.
