There’s a new action star in town! Kim Domingo shared some stories and videos about the intense training she undergoes to prepare for her role as Madonna in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.”

Kim is taking on her first action project and made her first appearance on the show on July 16.

The behind-the-scenes footage highlights the intense experience of preparing for an action packed show.

“Totoo pala na mahirap mag action, kasama na dyan ang masusugatan ka, ma-injury. Yung kahit sobrang sakit na pero kailangan mo tapusin ang eksena dahil nasa momentum na. Pero napakasarap sa pakiramdam nung makita ko ang lahat ng pinagpaguran ko at ng mga taong nasa likod ng show na ito. Worth it po ang lahat 🥹,” Kim explained.

She acknowledges she may not be perfect and recognizes there’s much more to learn. She also mentioned she never imagined she could handle such a project.

“Isa ito sa dream ko. Ang mabigyan ng pagkakataon na maipakita ang mga kakayahan ko. Yung tipong bagong Kim Domingo,” she stressed.

Kim emphasized that she had long awaited for this role. She continually reminds herself to always give her best. While she acknowledges that pleasing everyone may not be possible, she is dedicated to fulfilling the demands of her character.

The actress clarified that for her character Madonna, it’s crucial not to project a charming appearance during fight scenes. She also believes that not all action characters are alike and some roles require maintaining a good appearance with minimal facial reactions.

“Meron din na kailangan super OA sa facial reaction, yung mukha kang barako at hindi maamo mukha kagaya ng character ni Madonna,” she added.

In real life, she explained that during a fight, one doesn’t focus on appearance; the goal is simply to strike the opponent. This is a tough statement coming from someone as sweet as Kim.

Kim expressed gratitude to the public for their feedback, emphasizing its importance.

“Lubos po ako nagpapasalamat sa mga taong patuloy na naniniwala sa akin at sa kakayahan ko bilang artista. Maraming salamat po sa tiwala. Mas gagalingan ko pa. Maraming salamat din sa patuloy na sumusuporta sa Batang Quiapo,” she concluded.
