Kris Aquino’s sons visit Liza Marcos

Kris Aquino’s sons Joshua and Bimby, visited First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos in her office on Tuesday.

Marcos posted a photo on Facebook with the sons of Kris, youngest daughter of former President Cory Aquino and Sen. Ninoy Aquino.

“Thank you Bimby and Josh for dropping by,” Marcos said.

“It was so nice to see you guys after all these years,” she added.

In an Instagram post, Marcos expressed her appreciation for the gifts given to her by the Aquino boys.

“Thank you for taking time off to visit me, Bimby and Josh. Love my pasalubong,” she said.

The First Lady and the Presidential Communications Office have not given an explanation for the Aquino brothers’ visit.

Liza Marcos is the wife of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and the daughter-in-law of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr. The elder Marcos has been accused of masterminding the assassination of his political rival, Sen. Ninoy Aquino.

The killing of Ninoy in 1983 triggered protests against Marcos Sr. The opposition senator’s wife, Cory, challenged the dictator in the presidential election of 1986. The election was marred by violence and cheating, which led to the historic EDSA People Power Revolution and the ouster of the Marcos family. Both Cory and her son Noynoy went on to serve as presidents of the country.
