MANILA, Philippines – Fuel prices will see mixed adjustments on Tuesday, November 5, as oil companies announce a decrease for gasoline but increases for diesel and kerosene.

In advisories released Monday, Seaoil and Shell confirmed that gasoline prices would be reduced by PHP0.10 per liter. Conversely, diesel and kerosene prices will increase by PHP0.75 and PHP0.50 per liter, respectively.

Shell attributed the adjustments to shifts in premium freight and biofuel costs. Meanwhile, Petro Gazz announced similar changes, with diesel up by PHP0.75 per liter and gasoline down by PHP0.10 per liter.

The adjustments follow last week’s increases across all fuel types: PHP0.20 per liter for gasoline and PHP0.50 per liter for both diesel and kerosene.

According to data from the Department of Energy as of October 29, oil companies have implemented a net increase this year of PHP8.75 per liter for gasoline and PHP6.55 per liter for diesel, while kerosene prices have seen a net decrease of PHP3.10 per liter.

These recent changes reflect ongoing volatility in the global oil market and associated costs for local suppliers.
