Veteran actress Vangie Labalan has passed away at the age of 83.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, her son, Carlo Labalan, confirmed the sad news of her passing.

“With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Vangie Labalan (Ma. Christina Bonghanoy Labalan). She passed away today in Australia due to illness, surrounded by those dearest and nearest to her heart. Her memories will forever remain in our hearts,” Carlo shared.

Labalan was known for her remarkable contributions to Philippine film, television, and theater, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and fans throughout her decades-long career.
