Bulacan Police crack down on crime, arrest 19 suspects in anti-drug, firearm, and manhunt operations

MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan — The Bulacan Provincial Police Office has intensified its anti-crime efforts, leading to the arrest of 19 individuals, including 12 drug suspects, one election code violator, and six wanted persons in a series of operations across the province.
Drug Busts Net 12 Suspects, Over PHP1M Worth of Shabu Seized
Separate buy-bust operations were carried out by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit, in coordination with personnel from the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) and various police stations, including the cities of Malolos and Meycauayan, and the municipalities of Hagonoy, Santa Maria, and Angat.
As a result, 12 drug suspects were arrested, and authorities confiscated 30 heat-sealed plastic sachets and one knot-tied packet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, “shabu,” with an estimated street value of PHP1,097,425.
The suspects and the seized illegal drugs were turned over to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for examination. Criminal complaints for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared for filing in court.
Construction Worker Arrested in Meycauayan for Threatening Minors, Election Code Violation
In a separate incident, a 38-year-old construction worker was arrested in Brgy. Bayugo, Meycauayan City, after allegedly threatening a group of minors with a firearm.
According to police reports, the suspect, a resident of Isla Verde, approached the victims as they were walking home from a basketball game on the evening of February 26. Without provocation, he allegedly brandished a firearm and pointed it at them, causing them to flee and seek help.
Authorities responded swiftly, leading to the suspect’s arrest and the confiscation of an improvised firearm loaded with a .45 caliber round.
The suspect remains in police custody and faces charges of Grave Threat in relation to R.A. 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act) and violations of R.A. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) in relation to the Omnibus Election Code.
6 Wanted Persons Nabbed in Manhunt Operations
Meanwhile, police tracker teams conducted intensified manhunt operations across Bulacan, resulting in the arrest of six individuals wanted for various crimes.
The operations were carried out by officers from the San Jose Del Monte City Police Station, Bulacan 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, and the Norzagaray, Marilao, San Ildefonso, and Paombong police stations.
The arrested individuals are now in the custody of their respective police units for proper legal proceedings.
