Bulacan PNP nabs two for illegal discharge and possession of firearms

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — Police operatives have arrested two individuals in separate operations on Wednesday (September 18) for illegal discharge and possession of firearms.

Reports reaching Col. Satur Ediong, acting Bulacan police director, indicate that a 31-year-old man indiscriminately fired a gun around 7:45 PM in Barangay Bulihan, Plaridel town.

Responding police operatives found the suspect holding a gun and immediately arrested him, confiscating a submachine gun, caliber .45 Intratec .45 Luger TEC-KG .45 with serial number 504863, loaded with five caliber .45 rounds.

Meanwhile, Calumpit police operatives executed a search warrant in Barangay Balungao against a 44-year-old man for violation of illegal possession of firearms (RA 10591), which led to the confiscation of a .38 caliber revolver without a serial number and his eventual arrest.
