10,000 law enforcers mobilized for the 2023 BSKE in Central Luzon
Mon Lazaro October 23, 2023 at 05:48 PMCAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – The Police Regional Office 3 has over 10,000 Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel across the region to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of security coverage.
A send-off ceremony, along with the handover of resources and forces, was held at its Parade Ground on Monday (October 23).
The event was attended by members of the PNP, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) as well as force multipliers.
Rev Fr Lt. Col. Jonathan Chy, Regional Pastoral Officer blessed the contingents prior to their deployments.
To optimize deployment and bolster the security presence at polling precincts, police personnel typically assigned to desk duties and educational pursuits have been reassigned to polling stations.
This will significantly increase the number of individuals responsible for safeguarding the integrity and safety of the Election Day proceedings.
Brig. Gen.Jose Hidalgo Jr., regional police director for Central Luzon, has invited the public to contribute to the security of the 2023 BSKE.
He encourages the public to share relevant and timely information regarding any suspicious activities they may observe, either via social media (Facebook page – Police Regional Office 3) or through the PRO3 hotline at 0998-598-53-30 / 0917-556-25-97.
