CITY OF MALOLOS — A truck driver and his helper were injured when the vehicle they were riding crashed into the boundary pillar of Malolos-Guiguinto early Thursday morning.

Reports reaching Col. Relly Arnedo, Bulacan Police director, identified the truck driver as Ronald Atayde and his helper as Roy Atayde both residents of Barangay San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija.

Initial investigation showed that the truck driver was on board a Foton truck with plate number CAK1696 and was cruising on the south bound lane of MacArthur Highway when he fall asleep around 4:56 am and lost control of the truck and crashed into the boundary pillar of Malolos – Guiguinto.

The driver of the truck and his passenger were injured in the crash and we’re rushed to the Bulacan Medical Center by the Malolos Rescue.

The two were later transferred to the Paolino J Garcia Hospital in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija for medical treatment.
