CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — A total of 200 kilograms of suspected shabu with street value of P1.3 billion was discovered in an abandoned car in Mabalacat City early morning Friday (August 25).

Based on reports reaching Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., Regional police director for Central Luzon, the abandoned car was a red Toyota Avanza with license plate: ZGS 643 that was parked unattended in the parking lot of SM Hypermarket in Mabalacat City.

Initial investigation showed that the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) personnel headed by Atty. Eduardo Ramos Jr. coordinated with the Mabalacat City Police Station regarding the said car at the parking lot.

Upon inspection, the NBI and police operatives discovered approximately 200 kilograms of suspected shabu inside the car that has a street value of P1.3 billion.

Investigations are still ongoing on the discovery of the suspected shabu.
