BOCAUE, Bulacan — Three persons were injured when a passenger bus crashed a car at the cashier booth of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Balintawak toll gate around 8:36 am on September 1.

A report by the NLEX Corporation corporate communications said the involved vehicles were a Stella Mae Star Bus and a Toyota Corolla.

Initial investigation showed that the bus experienced brake malfunction approaching the toll plaza hitting the chariot barrier, guardrails, toll booth and rear portion of the Toyota Corolla.

Patrol and incident response teams, emergency medical services and tow trucks of NLEX immediately responded to the incident and rushed the three unidentified victims to an undisclosed hospital.

NLEX turned over the case to the Caloocan Police Station.
