6 villages in Bulacan flooded, 349 families in 28 evacuation centers

CITY OF MALOLOS — A total of six villages across four towns in Bulacan were inundated with floodwaters ranging from half a foot to three feet yesterday (September 4).
A situational report as of 11:00 a.m. yesterday, released by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council of Bulacan, chaired by Gov. Daniel Fernando, indicated that the flooded villages, mostly due to the high tide from Manila Bay, include Panginay, Wawa, and San Juan in Balagtas town; Taliptip in the municipality of Bulakan; Pinalagdan in Paombong; and Anyatam in San Ildefonso.
Meanwhile, a total of 349 families, or 1,232 individuals, remain housed in 28 evacuation centers located in the towns of Calumpit, Plaridel, San Ildefonso, San Rafael, Obando, Balagtas, Bocaue, and in the cities of Baliwag and Meycauayan.
Manuel Lukban Jr., the provincial disaster risk reduction management officer of Bulacan, stated that prepositioning of standby resources is also in place for the rapid deployment of response teams.
