Bataan police nab 2 drug suspects, seize shabu and firearm

CAMP PFC CIRILO TOLENTINO, Balanga City – Police operatives arrested two drug suspects in Bataan on Wednesday (April 30), confiscating nearly half a million pesos worth of suspected shabu and a handgun.
A report submitted to Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, Central Luzon police director, identified the suspects as two male individuals from Samal and Orani, Bataan.
The duo was apprehended during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Mabatang, Abucay town, according to Col. Marites Salvadora, acting police director of Bataan.
Operatives from the Bataan Police Provincial Intelligence Unit and the Abucay Police Station seized approximately 69 grams of suspected shabu worth ₱469,200 and a .38 caliber revolver loaded with four live rounds.

The suspects are now facing charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), and the Omnibus Election Code.
Salvadora said, “The primary objective of this intensified campaign is to eliminate the presence of illegal drugs and loose firearms in the province of Bataan, thereby reducing drug-related crimes and armed violence. This campaign aims to promote public safety to ultimately achieve a drug-free and crime-free Bataan where everyone can live in peace and security.”
