BFP, Bulacan SM malls conduct simultaneous fire safety drills

BALIWAG, Bulacan– A simultaneous fire safety drills were conducted by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in partnership with the three SM malls in Bulacan on Wednesday.

The fire safety initiatives were part of the Fire Prevention Month of March that were designed to bolster community awareness and understanding of vital fire safety measures.

Veronica Cunan, press relation officer of Bulacan SM malls, said the BFP’s theme for the Fire Prevention Month this year is dubbed, “Sa pag-iwas sa sunog, hindi ka nag-iisa.”

The fire safety drills were conducted in SM City Marilao, SM City Baliwag, and SM Center Pulilan, that featured educational and interactive activities.

The event included live fire extinguisher demonstrations, fire safety workshops led by BFP experts, and emergency evacuation drills, equipping attendees with essential skills and knowledge for fire emergency situations.

SM malls are dedicated in promoting a culture of disaster risk reduction and resilience, Cunan added.
