Bulacan, Pampanga commemorate Earth Day thru clean up drives

CITY OF MALOLOS — The provincial government of Bulacan together with personnel of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and other stakeholders conducted clean-up drives in commemorating Earth Day on Monday (April 22).


Bulacan Environment and Natural Resources Office chief, Atty. Julius Victor Degala, said the provincial government of Bulacan and several stakeholders group conducted a clean-up drive on a garbage-clogged creek in Barangay Guinhawa in the City of Malolos.
On the other hand, some 300 DENR workers and partner agencies converged in a fun run and cleanup activity in support of the annual celebration of Earth Day within the Diosdado Macapagal Government Center in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
The event was dubbed “KapaligiRUN: Takbo para sa Kalikasan” featured a plogging activity that integrated running with trash cleanup and collection.
DENR Central Luzon regional executive director Ralph Pablo noted that the activity called for strategic partnership and cooperation among government agencies to promote environmental protection and sustainability.
