Bulacan police nab gunrunner, confiscate guns and ammunition

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan – A gunrunner was arrested in Bocaue town on Wednesday during a buy-bust operation that led to the seizure of three firearms and ammunition.

Reports reaching Col. Satur Ediong, Bulacan police director, stated that the gunrunner, a 57-year-old businessman, was apprehended in Barangay Batia during an entrapment operation.

The suspect was arrested after completing a firearms transaction with an undercover agent.

Recovered from the gunrunner were an Armscor 9mm pistol with serial number 1587145, two 9mm magazines, 16 live rounds of 9mm ammunition, two improvised homemade shotguns without serial numbers, an improvised shotgun magazine, 11 rounds of 12-gauge shotgun ammunition, and marked money.

The arrested suspect, along with the confiscated firearms and ammunition, was brought to the Bocaue Municipal Police Station for documentation and the filing of appropriate charges.
