Bulakeños reminded to show respect for the national flag

CITY OF MALOLOS — Bulacan Gov. Daniel Fernando reminded Bulakeños to show respect, value and take pride on our national flag .

The governor announced on Tuesday that flags will be displayed in all government agencies, offices, businesses establishments, schools and homes from May 28 to June 12, 2024 as a way of showing respect to the national flag.

The governor also said that the youth should also be reminded and educated on the rules and prohibitions on Republic Act No. 8491 otherwise known as the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines.

“We must always stand guard to defend the dignity, respect, and reverence to the Philippine flag, the national anthem, and other national symbols, which are the expressions of our nationhood and the principles of national solidarity. Bawal ang anumang paglapastangan sa mga simbulong ito na siyang sagisag ng ating lalawigan at bansa,” the governor added.
