CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — A burglar failed to escape with his loot early yesterday (February 16) morning in Bustos town after a witness gave chase that resulted to his arrest.

Reports reaching Col. Relly Arnedo, Bulacan police director, identified the suspect as a certain Lawrence.

Initial police investigarion showed that the suspect sneaked into the house of Ireneo Perez at 168, Perez Street, Purok 3, Barangay Tanawan, Bustos town around 2:00 am and carted away assorted jewelries, watches and cash amounting to P100,000 owned by the victim.

However, a witness saw the suspect escaping and started chasing the burglar.

The witness, who was not identified, was able to seek help from barangay tanods of Bonga Menor in the said town that led to the arrest of the suspect and recovery of the stolen items.
