Cable wire thief arrested; P380K worth of stolen items recovered

CABANATUAN CITY — Police arrested a cable wire thief in Carranglan town yesterday (December 27) and recovered P380,000 worth of stolen items.

A report reaching Col. Ferdinand Germino, Nueva Ecija police director, stated that the 21-year-old male suspect entered the DITO cell site compound in Barangay RA Padilla at about 1:00 a.m. by cutting through its barbed-wire fence.

The village chief noticed suspicious activities inside the facility and reported it to the local police.

Responding policemen apprehended the suspect and recovered the stolen items, which included two pink cable wires, each measuring four meters, a black cable wire five meters long, and a detached CCTV camera. The total value of the recovered items is P380,000.

The suspect is now facing robbery charges.
