Central Luzon Police on full alert for Labor Day activities

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Police in Central Luzon were placed on full alert and on standby for any eventualities as the region marked the observance of Labor Day on Wednesday, May 1.
Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, Central Luzon regional police director, said over 700 personnel were mobilized as part of civil disturbance management (CDM) operations across the region. In addition, more than 2,000 personnel were deployed for police visibility patrols, traffic assistance, checkpoints, and control points to ensure the peaceful and orderly conduct of Labor Day.
Police personnel were given strict instructions to observe legal processes, human rights, and strict implementations of the law when dealing with protest actions and other activities related to the observance of Labor Day.
