Central Luzon Police seizes P5.7M worth of illegal drugs in a week-long ops

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — The Central Luzon Police Force has confiscated more than P5.7 million worth of illegal drugs in a week-long separate drug stings in the region from April 29 to May 5 this year.
Reports reaching Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., regional police director of Central Luzon, said a total of 108 anti-illegal drug operations were conducted during the period leading to the confiscations of 838.53 grams of shabu and 220.44 grams of dried marijuana leaves that have a combined standard drug price of P5,728,446.80.
The separate drug stings also resulted in the arrests of 180 individuals.
“The success of these operations reflects the vigilance and determination of our law enforcement officers to protect the public from the dangers of illegal drugs and to uphold the rule of law,” Hidalgo noted.
