Couple robbed at gunpoint in San Miguel, Bulacan

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — A couple who had just arrived home were robbed at gunpoint by three unidentified assailants in San Miguel, Bulacan on Saturday night.

According to a report received by Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., Central Luzon’s regional police director, the victims were identified as Marciano Cruz Jr. and Myla Cruz, both 53 years old and residents of Barangay Salangan.

Initial investigations revealed that the Cruz couple had arrived at their residence around 9:20 pm and were about to close their gate when the three armed suspects arrived. They ordered the victims at gunpoint to hand over their valuables.

The robbers managed to steal P150,000 in cash, along with jewelry and gadgets worth an additional P150,000, before fleeing on a motorcycle towards San Ildefonso town.
