Distribution of P18K DepEd SRI in Central Luzon now ongoing

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Central Luzon qualified employees of the Department of Education (DepEd) now have a reason to be happy as the distribution of their Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) is now ongoing.

Michelle Lacson, information officer of DepEd Central Luzon, has confirmed to ARKIPELAGO NEWS BULACAN that around 102,759 DepEd personnel in the region is covered by the SRI.

Qualified personnel are to receive P18,000 each subjected to withholding tax.

Lacson said that based on the memorandum sent by their central office, the default mode of distribution of SRI shall be in cash basis only, however, an exception on this cash mode distribution shall only afforded for teachers in far-flung areas upon their written request and will be distributed via their payroll automated teller machine cards.
