Dump truck hits concrete electric post, knocks down 14 poles, injures 4

CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — A maneuvering dump truck struck a concrete electric post, causing it to pull down 14 additional utility poles and injuring four individuals in Marilao town early Tuesday morning (August 20).
According to reports received by Col. Satur Ediong, acting Bulacan police director, the injured victims have been identified as John Paulo Robles, Johann Mago Abella, Angelito Mirabel Evangelista, and Francis Mesina Morales. The dump truck driver, Alexander Nacario, has also been identified.

Initial investigations revealed that Nacario, driving a Sinotruk dump truck with license plate NID3322, was maneuvering in reverse around 12:20 a.m. on Mario Santiago Road, Barangay Lambakin in Marilao when he accidentally hit a Meralco concrete electric post.

The collision caused a domino effect, bringing down 14 additional concrete electric posts, which struck the four victims who were passing through the area at the time.

The injured individuals were transported by the Marilao Rescue Team to the Bulacan Medical Center in the City of Malolos for medical treatment.
Nacario has been arrested and is now facing charges for reckless imprudence resulting in multiple physical injuries and damage to properties.
