Father and son drug suspects yield P3.45M worth of suspected shabu
Mon Lazaro October 4, 2023 at 06:21 PMCITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — A father and son drug suspects were arrested and yielded P3,450,000 worth of suspected shabu in a sting in this city on October 3.
Glenn Guillermo, information officer of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Central Luzon, identified the suspects as Anthony Chua and Jay Vie Cai who were entrapped in Pleasant Village, Barangay San Pablo in Malolos by operatives of PDEA Tarlac.
Authorities recovered from the suspects approximately 500 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P3,450,000 and the marked money.
The entrapment operation was the result of a month-long casing and surveillance, the PDEA reported.
The suspects are now facing charges for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) in relation to section 26B (conspiracy to sell) of Republic Act 9165.
