Fire engulfs material recovery facility of Santa Maria Industrial Park in Bulacan

CITY OF MALOLOS — A garbage fire ravaged a material recovery facility of an industrial park in Santa Maria town that started on Monday afternoon and declared fire out early Tuesday morning.
The fire lasted for more than 14 hours and no casualties or injuries were reported in the conflagration.
Reports reaching retired Col. Manuel Lukban Jr., Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer of Bulacan, said the fire engulfed the material recovery facility of the Santa Maria Industrial Park located in Barangay Balasing, Santa Maria town.
The fire reached the First Alarm at around 3:50 pm on Monday and was responded to by a total of six fire responders from the Bureau of Fire Protection and eight volunteer fire brigades.
The fire responders include 332 Pioneer, 332 Jiangte, 332 Tanker, Pulong Buhangin FT, 399 Tanker, Pandi FS, Bocaue FS, Norzagay FS, SMIP Fire Brigade, PDRRMO Fire Rescue, Sto. Niño Tanker, Courage Fire Volunteer, Zeus Engine and Prince Fire Volunteer.
The blaze was declared fire out at around 5:50 am on December 5 or more than 14 hours after the fire broke out.
No one was injured in the fire and arson investigators placed properties damaged by fire was worth P10,000.
