CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — An illegal fireworks manufacturer was arrested in a residential zone in Santa Maria town on Friday afternoon.

Reports reaching Col. Relly Arnedo, Bulacan police director, said the suspect is a 31-year-old male, a resident of KM.41, Barangay Pulong Buhangin, Santa Maria town. He was caught in the act of manufacturing fireworks without any license/permit from concerned authorities.

Operatives of the local police together with the Civil Security Group-Firearms and Explosives Office and Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit seized from the suspect 200 pieces of ‘kwitis’, 40 pieces of unfinished ‘fountain’, 30 pieces of cylinder ‘fountain’, 100 pieces of unfinished ‘kwitis’, and 1/4 gallon of unfinished ‘sawa’.”
