BOCAUE, Bulacan — Jesus Is Lord Colleges Foundation (JILCF) President and Chancellor Bro. Eddie Villanueva on Saturday led the inauguration of the JILCF College of Law Building in Bocaue, marking a milestone in the institution’s vision to raise principled and God-fearing lawyers.
“Our legal profession needs lawyers and legal practitioners who are excellent in competence, integrity and character. This is the vision of the JILCF College of Law, to raise quality and high-caliber lawyers equipped both with excellent legal skills and God-centered character. And we thank the Lord that today, we are inaugurating the College of Law building that will house and nurture the fulfillment of such vision,” Villanueva said during the event.
Villanueva emphasized that the establishment of the College of Law reflects JILCF’s commitment to producing lawyers distinguished not only by competence but also by values and moral purpose — qualities he said are essential in defending the rule of law and upholding truth, justice, and righteousness in the country.
The inauguration was attended by former Sandiganbayan Justice Efren Dela Cruz, Philippine for Jesus Movement (PJM) President Bishop Leo Alconga, JILCF Vice President Gladys Cruz-Villanueva, as well as JILCF officials, faculty, staff, and students.
Authorized by the Legal Education Board in 2024, the JILCF College of Law currently offers a Juris Doctor program and an audit program. Students from Bulacan, Metro Manila, and nearby provinces are already enrolled. School officials said the College of Law is envisioned as one of the premier colleges that will form part of the future JIL University.
