CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — A 53-year-old man was arrested for illegal possession of five guns and several rounds of ammunitions for different caliber of firearms in Pulilan town on Friday afternoon.

A report submitted to Col. Relly Arnedo, Bulacan police director, said the arrest was made through the implementation of a search warrant that was implemented late afternoon in Calderon Compound, Esguerra Street, Barangay Poblacion in the town of Pulilan.

Authorities recovered a Norinco 9mm caliber pistol with serial number 300121 loaded with magazine with 10 live bullets, a Piranha .22 caliber rifle with serial number 917007, a Carbine .30 caliber rifle without serial number, an air gun rifle with a compressed oxygen tank, a magnum .22 revolver without a serial number, several magazines and rounds of ammunitions for different caliber of firearms.

The search warrant implementation was jointly conducted by operatives of the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit, the 1st PMFC SWAT Team, Regional Intelligence Unit 3, PIT Bulacan, and Pulilan Municipal Police Station.

The arrested suspect was placed under the custody of the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit and is facing charges for violations of RA 10591.
