Man found dead in irrigation canal in Bulacan

CITY OF MALOLOS – A man was found lifeless, floating in an irrigation canal in Plaridel town on Sunday afternoon.

A report submitted to Manuel Lukban Jr., Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer of Bulacan, identified the victim as Armando Dangca, a resident of Barangay San Jose in Plaridel. Dangca’s body was discovered around 5:15 p.m. in the irrigation canal within his village.

Initial investigations revealed that the victim, who reportedly had mental health issues, was last seen drinking with friends from the village at around 10:00 p.m. on Saturday.

According to the victim’s sister, Dangca may have accidentally drowned in the irrigation canal. No signs of physical injury were observed on his body.

The victim’s remains were brought to a funeral parlor, but the family decided against having an autopsy conducted.
